The Breville Dual Boiler definitely punches above it's weight! By far the most feature packed espresso machine in it's price class and far above. With some minimal preventative maintenance and attention to using scale free water, this machine will last many, many years. Out of the box, it does more than all but the high end, and high priced machines and it is easily modified for excellent flow control for those looking for that 3rd wave, light roast SO experience. Paired with a good espresso oriented grinder, you'll be set for the forseeable future with the BDB!

We are very impressed with the quality, which is good sign. Steaming milk is very easy and the wand has ample power to make perfect microfoam. Very high quality. The dual boiler allows for simultaneous milk steaming and espresso extraction.
Overall, we love it....Customer service 100% there for any support that you might need.

This is a great machine. A PID is really necessary if you're not an expert or just really want reliable, consistent shots. It's the perfect balance of giving you the premium features you want while still being accessible and not intimidating. I love it.

It makes great espresso, but it took a while to figure out how to extract the appropriate time. I still struggle with it at times with new coffee beans. I am also not able to steam the milk appropriately to make designs, but my lattes are delicious. So much that my brother in law also purchasd and espresso machine for himself.

Breville is a good company, but the dual boiler was not initially made well. There are certain unfortunate design flaws that are fatal to the machine. Mine is less than 5 years old and it leaks steam inside itself and it only works if I unplug it after every use.
