An excellent affordable machine

My wife and I purchased the Breville BES920 dual boiler and the smart grinder app 18 months ago and are so happy with the performance of both of these machines. It is so easy to consistently make a good Cuppiciano as good as and in a lot of cases better than you can purchase at a coffee shop.It is important to note that it is not a full automatic machine and consequently you need to brush up on your Barista skills & Breville suply excellent tutorial videos in this regard. Dont hesistate folks in puchasing either of these machines, you will not be dissapointed.
Dual boiler is one of the best prosumer espresso machines. It does have a PID controlled brew boiler, and heated group which is only found on much more expensive machines (~3K or so). This allows Dual Boiler to heat up in a few minutes vs. waiting for 30 min for E61 type machines. In home situation it is a huge plus, because you like your coffee now, not in half an hour. Other features are equally well designed.
Very nice machine. I would have liked a little more detail in the instructions provided. We have been using it daily for about a month now and it makes the best cup of joe we have ever been able to achieve. There is a smooth silkiness to the coffee and it's wonderful. The Breville approach to extracting is quite different to what other machines do. It seems you get true espresso instead of cafe coffee. I had wanted to try one of these machines for some time but could not afford it. I feel the extra cost worth it and am looking forward to many years of great coffee
Breville is hands down the most amazing small appliance company in the world. I would recommend any of their products not only because they are innovative, thoughtful, and affordable, but also because the customer service is AMAZING. My dual boiler has made thousands of quality drinks that friends and family prefer over coffee chain options. We couldn't be happier!
After 8 years, our original dual boiler finally gave out. We contacted Breville, who had previously repaired the boiler and they let us know that they were no longer repairing items of that age, but offered to give us a discount on a replacement item. We took them up on their offer and just recently received a new dual boiler. While the units look nearly identical, it was clear from the 1st pulled shots that Breville had made many advances in the last 8 years. We are so happy with our new unit. THANK YOU, BREVILLE!
