Do not recommend!

I do not recommend this machine. The Thermojet lasted a year. Since I took it home abroad the warranty does not apply and I can't find a replacement. I also tried contacting Breville and they don't respond. Consider twice when buying!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great beginner Espresso Machine with some minor complaints

Great looking Espresso Machine. Everything works as expected. However, there're a few recommended improvements I would like to mention. The included tamper needs to be slightly larger to fit the 54mm portafilter. Currently, there's a noticeable gap between the tamper and side-walls of the portafilter which leaves some grinds on the inside wall. Secondly, grinds always spill over whenever I remove the portafilter from the grinder. This makes a mess and constantly needs cleaning.

The machine is perfect for any home coffee lover. It makes very good espresso shots and froth the milk very nice with no problem at all if you want to do latte art. It is not the fastest machine out there but for a quick morning coffee you dont need more. It comes with everything you need to learn how to make a good espresso all the way up to the perfect shot.
If I had to say something bad about this machine I would say the coffee that comes out of the grinder is not perfectly fluffy but works very good and it also has some sort pf retention as all grinders do.
I love this machine and I think is perfect for a home and would recommend it to anybody wanting to do better coffee at home based on espresso shot drinks. Don't get the breville express, get the pro!
