Works well but not as good as my old Barista Express which stopped working because the solenoid no longer operated. I upgraded with this model but I had problems with the first one I bought and it had to be replaced. The problem was the steam knob was extremely hard to use when the system was under pressure. The new machine is much better but that problems still exists to some degree. Given the cost, I am not sure I would buy another.

I absolutely love this machine! Saving so much money making my own coffee and specialty drinks right at home. It's easy to use and makes me very happy! Highly recommend this unit as it's better than the classic version and it's aesthetic is gorgeous.
My husband and I did so much research to pick the right espresso coffee machine and we decided on this one. Neither one of us had any experience at all so we were very nervous. We both love this machine so much! Super easy and clean up is a breeze. I have made the most delicious coffee I have ever had in my life. I would recommend the barista pro to anyone looking for some thing to add to their kitchen. That is easy to use. And… It is beautiful to look at. Which is a plus for me.
My girlfriend got it for Christmas and ever since I’ve been obsessed with it! The latte art with the milk, the quality of the grinder, the beauty of its colors, i love it.
6 months after purchasing, the frother got an air block. I sent it back to Breville for repair. First use after the repair, the motor sounded like it was about to blow up. I have not yet had a chance to call in again.

Check your temperature from your shot, the temperature is too low, even with the settings on highest temperature. I was getting only 140f plus a degree or two. SOUR taste unless it's covered up with milk. Research the temperature output or espresso. JUST SAYING...CHECK YOUR TEMPERATURE . . .
