Had my oracle for years. Years. Was bulletproof until in need of a bigger service. We’d run just over 20k shots through it (machine tracks this number). So it needed a send in for a fix. I was apprehensive to send but the cost was not too much in comparison to the machine. And I was sick of coffee pots, Moka pots, French presses, and a little Nespresso we’d purchased while the oracle was traveling. You really get accustomed to the great shots the oracle produces. Not sure how long the oracle was off to servicing, let’s say 4 years (felt like that) but it’s recently returned from holiday and I missed it like a kid. Nice work Breville - you stood by your product which was well built (nothing lasts forever but 20k shots seems fair), you fixed it for a fair price, and you made the process fairly easy. Didn’t think I had truly any vices but when this machine was gone there was suffering.

I am very happy with this machine. Had the same model for about 14 years and now got exactly the same new one! Absolutely love it. It grinds the coffee, measures it, taps it and grinds it to perfection. At the same time as coffee is made milk can be frothed for your

This little machine has done a remarkable job considering it processes about 6-8 cups a day at least. Yes it needs TLC but it rewards you for it. I would have given it a full 5 stars except for the pump noise. I think your engineering team could have found a source for a pump that doesn't wake the whole house when running. Although it does get a laugh when you point out to friends that the excellent coffee AND the pump help wake you up for the day.
