All I can say is that Breville has taken such amazing care of me as a consumer. The oracle has being changing my life since 2016. We are taking 3-5 espresso daily for myself and anyone that will join me in a latte or cappuccino. I have used this machine to the maximum and its has brought so much joy to me and my family. My kids can make me espressos and lattes anytime. The functionality of the machine is so simple my kids know how to operate it. I have friends swing by all time just for coffee. This machine has brought quality time with friends and family. I can't say how much I love it. 🥰

Unreliable

This machine looks great and makes great espresso. Unfortunately it is not built to last. We got our first Oracle approximately March 2019. It has been replaced twice, and now the third machine is suffering the same malfunction.There is some problem with a pressure valve…the machine starts heating and continues to get hotter and hotter and making a racket like it’s going to explode. We can’t even leave it plugged in for fear that it will turn into a run away heat bomb. We are now trapped into a cycle with Breville. This machine is too expensive to simply throw away. Nightmare!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor quality product

One of the double boilers had a gasket fail within 6 months of purchasing the machine, this leak caused the GFCI in our kitchen to trip. the porcess to get the unit fixed is time consuming and frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So simple even I can do it

I hemmed and hawed about buying this machine because it was so expensive (not in the scheme of espresso machines, but for my pocketbook). Boy did I choose the right one. It does take about 5 minutes for it to warm up, but it does have a timer that lets you set what time it should turn on in the morning. I just turn it on before breakfast and it's ready before I am done eating.
Just three little steps and I have fabulous hot white chocolate mochas in the morning. Saves me time because I don't need to run to the coffee shop. Saves me money because I'm not spending $6.00 per day on coffee. It is so simple I think even my Mom could make an espresso. This is the machine to get if you just want good espresso and don't want all the hassle that goes into making an excellent shot.

Pressure Issues on The Oracle

My machine may be having pressurization issues. When making a double shot first coffee dispenses around 44 grams. 2nd coffee only changing the grounds everything else staying the same dispenses >90 grams.
