I never understood all these hyper expensive Italian machines that claim superior brewing capability but lack half the features of the Breville Oracle. If you want to stand around the kitchen you never use while trying to impress your friends, go get that Rocket. If you want to drink coffee, get the Oracle.
I say this even after my machine decided to burn out its steam boiler during a descale process 21 months into ownership. However, Breville warrantied the whole machine no questions asked. You cannot beat that. I really hope they fixed this issue in the current revision.

Designed for full control with full automation of coffee Experience

The machine that will let you do it all when you want but still gives you the full automation. You can finally have your cake and eat it. The PID controller lets me program the machine to wake before I’m out the door. General wake time (3-10). This machine gives you full control over grind, tamp, temp, and with some finagling even dose volume. Minor dose control can be done but basically plug n play…designed to be used as is. The dual boiler let’s me run steam wand same time as expresso and has a dedicated americano button. Was hesitant based on price but afterwards glad I did and would 100% do it again. My personal favorite aspects of this machine: the auto tamp-no more spilled grounds, dual boilers, auto clean steam wand, larger water reservoir, auto wake and sleep.

We Love our Oracle

We have owned an Oracle machine for nearly ten years. We use it every single day. Aside from the wonderful espresso and cappuccino it makes the service from Breville is fantastic! They really back their products. Thanks to Breville for ensuring we will never buy another brand espresso machine.

I spent a ridiculous amount of time researching before I decided on the Oracle. Why did I choose the Oracle? I wanted an espresso machine that took the work out of making an espresso so I could focus on the results. I am not a barista and I have no intention of becoming one...it's me...I don't have the patience to learn how to get the grind volume right, the tamp right, or the froth right.
It is still a lot to learn...get the grind right so the infusion is correct. Get the froth setting right so you don’t overflow your froth jug. What coffee to use.. and OMG what syrups, milks, and sauces to use to get the flavor your aiming for.
It has been a month...am I happy with my Oracle? YES...emphatically YES. But I am aiming for a flavor I experienced twenty years ago. Haven't gotten it yet. As a matter of fact...i have only added (3) recipes to my little black book. But I'm making slow progress and loving the experience as I go.
The Oracle is awesome for letting you experiment with the results.. without having to get the details right. This is the BEST machine for me. Thank you Breville.
