Aids do amplify sound, it does take some time to find right adjustment as initially sounds are so loud, water coming out of sink sounds like a jet engine roaring. Still challenges hearing everything being said in noisy indoor environments but it does improve my hearing.

I knew from the start that they wouldn’t work like “real” hearing aids before I got them. For my hearing loss I need hearing aids that shift frequencies, but all they did was enhance the sound around me. So I was able to not understand people but louder now. While using the hearing aids with my phone as kind of headphones, to listen to music it watch YouTube, it would break up. Not every time, and it could have been due to how often I cleaned them. But overall I really loved these and I highly recommend this.
