[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the past year, we have been the proud owners of the 2021 LG 48C1 OLED. We did not think there could possibly be any room left for improvement, but the 2022 LG 65G2 has proven us wrong. The image produced is incredibly bright. The brightest OLED display we have ever seen. Every single detail can be seen whether we are watching it on a sunny afternoon, or a midnight movie marathon with all the lights off. The infinite contrast between every adjacent pixel means that every image just seems to pop off the screen. The little details you never knew were there in movies you've watched a dozen times before never fail to delight, making what's old seem new once again. The initial setup was a breeze, offering us the ability to complete the process via the included Magic Remote or via the LG ThinQ app on our phones. Within minutes we had registered the TV to our existing LG account, and moved through the logins/passwords for all of our favorite streaming services. Each of the most-loved/popular streaming apps are available to you directly on the TV, with no need to connect an external streaming device. We particularly enjoy watching 60-frame-per-second 4k HDR videos. We have seen streams with bandwidth as high as 215MBit/second over wifi, so I can attest that the built-in WiFi works extremely well, several rooms away from the router. We tend to keep the TV in "Filmmaker Mode," as that presents the images exactly as the creators intended for them to be viewed with minimal-to-no processing. The video quality is mind-blowing. We have seen no evidence of black crush, with plenty of detail found in the shadows regardless of video source. For audio, we have not yet hooked the TV up to a soundbar, but we have chosen to use the "A.I. Sound Pro" feature because it really seems to amplify the sound in an intelligent way that adds to our listening experience. I think the feature that plays sound from the TV which is then recorded by the microphones in the Magic Remote in order to learn about the acoustics of your room is simply next-level technology. Everything just works. I highly recommend you trying that out. We have a current-generation gaming console hooked up to one of the 4k120 HDMI ports, and the handful of games we've seen running at 4k120FPS is a glimpse into the future, but today. We also appreciate the Game Optimizer function that automatically switches on when the console is used. Every member of our family, from 9 to 40 simply loves this TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this TV for about a month now and it has been nothing short of amazing. The quick review is that I no longer want to watch TV in any other room. Now the details:
Out of the box the picture quality is amazing. Setting up AI picture and sound really helps get a jump start on a wonderful experience from the TV. Film maker mode is a very quick way to get the great picture for movies that it pretty color accurate. I've had OLEDs in the past and brightness was never an issue, but having the extra brightness the EVO panel gives makes HDR content even more enjoyable. Bright lights shine through and the contrast is extraordinary.
The settings are pretty easy to navigate and I like the new home screen layout with the exception of the ads playing with sound. It can be a bit startling when deciding where to go and sound just starts playing. It is really easy to see your apps as well as different suggestions which is nice. Picture and sound settings are straightforward and makes personalizing your experience easy.
The TV does a great job switching to Dolby Vision and Atmos. I never had a problem with any content and Dolby Vision really makes a difference in brining shows and movies to life. The high refresh rate makes it great for sports and games. I hooked up my gaming computer and wanted to keep gaming on the TV full time. Gameplay is smooth and the picture quality is amazing. The peak brightness with HDR takes immersion in gaming to another level as well.
The gallery design makes the TV look great even when it's off. It blends nicely into the wall with minimal protrusion and seamless fits with my living room aesthetic. The only complaint I have with the TV is mounting. I attempted to do it myself which was difficult. The mounting screws did not work for me and I had to go get heavier duty ones. I read many people first mounted an extra wood board which probably would have made it easier. If I could do it again I might have hired someone to do it.
Overall, I love this TV. It provides a luxury OLED experience and is versatile enough to handle different content and viewing situations. I highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Until I saw this TV, I could never have imagined that it was possible to get a picture this good at home. Our movie nights have been completely transformed by the G2's pure blacks and outstanding colors. The screen is even bright enough to watch during the day, which was often a problem with our old TV.
The OLED G2 was super easy to install, since it weighs under 50 pounds and came with its own wall-mounting bracket. It looks like a piece of art in the room, being so thin and made of premium materials. Even the built-in sound is great for a TV, and I'm amazed by how well the OLED G2 can reproduce a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
All in all, this TV surpassed my every expectation. I'd gladly recommend it to anyone.

We got this about two weeks ago upgrading from an old 42" LCD 1080p screen.
The picture quality is astounding and perfect for our needs. Movies look crisp and vibrant. Across the board we are seeing details we've never seen before in old favorites and look forward to watching more in the weeks, months, and years ahead.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this display to replace an older OLED in the living room and it has been the best most full featured OLED to date that LG has released. Extremely bright, very clean screen with no tint (77" model) and does everything well. Very happy and will likely get a 2nd for another room.

Outstanding picture with better than average sound

This is my second OLED from LG. I had a 2015 E series that I really liked but this model is a far better display. Great picture out of the box.I am using cinema mode with the film mode auto feature that kicks in when the set detects the appropriate film content for usage. The TV speakers sound is fairly good. It extends beyond the cabinet and is listenable and can reproduce Dolby Atmos but all in all an external audio setup is best. The home screen takes some time to get used to and navigate. My only gripe is that the remote is as clunky and awkward as it was in 2015. I bought a harmony remote and it is MUCH easier to use. I think that overall it is a great value at it's current price point.
