[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the HP LaserJet 4001 printer for home use, and I'd like to share my impressions. First and foremost, I want to highlight its high printing speed. The printer handles tasks very quickly, printing up to 40 pages per minute. This is particularly convenient when you need to print large documents or several reports in a short amount of time. In a home setting, this speed is a pleasant surprise.
The print quality is also excellent. All documents come out clear and readable, thanks to the 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. This is very important for printing term papers, reports, or simple text documents where good readability is required. The printer connects easily via USB and Ethernet, providing stable and reliable connections. Although I miss the wireless connectivity, the wired connection has proven to be convenient enough.
However, there are a few drawbacks to note. The printer is monochrome, so sometimes you might want to print something in color, like photos or colorful school documents, but this printer can't handle those tasks. It's quite large and takes up a lot of space, so finding a suitable spot for it in a small apartment wasn't easy. Additionally, it can be quite noisy when printing, which can be disruptive if you need to maintain quiet at home.
Another downside is the cost of consumables. Original HP cartridges are quite expensive, and although they are designed for high volume printing, you still need to consider these costs. Overall, the HP LaserJet 4001 is an excellent printer for home use if you need fast and high-quality black-and-white printing. It is ideal for printing documents, reports, and other text materials. However, if you often require color printing or have limited space, you might want to consider other options. Otherwise, this printer fully justifies its cost and is reliable and convenient to use.

Fast and Reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HP Laserjet Pro 4001dn is a great addition to your home setup. It churns out sharp professional-quality prints quickly, perfect for everything from school projects to personal documents. Setup was a bit tricky as it didn't want to automatically detect the printer right away. When it finally did, the pop-up box disappeared too quickly and didn't come back. I ended up downloading the software directly from HP to get it to install properly. The information about it printing from any device was very vague. I finally found in the pictures online that you can use the "HP Smart" app to print from any device. Needless to say, this did not work when I tried setting up the printer through the app. It didn't detect the printer on my network and also was not listed in the drop down to manually add it (states that the printer cannot be configured with this app). So, that was a bit letdown. The duplex printing feature is a great paper saver. While it's not the quietest, the slight noise is worth the efficiency and reliability. I don't like that the replacement ink cartridges are so expensive due to the proprietary chip that is in them. Overall, it still is a great investment for anyone looking for a high-performing, dependable printer for home use.

I got this for simple home use to print basic documents/shipping labels etc. I did not need fancy features. This one does a great job for my needs. Setting it up is a piece of cake, and its user-friendly interface makes printing a breeze for anyone in the family. Plus, it can connect to your home network, so everyone can print from their devices. With its low maintenance and cost-effective toner cartridges, it's a reliable companion for all your daily printing tasks.
