A lot of grill for not a lot

Bought this on sale for an unbelievable price after kicking myself for years for not grabbing one that I found on clearance. Good things come to those who wait and found it on sale for the lowest price I’ve ever seen! For what it’s worth, I paid far less that I would have for just the grill if I would have bought the green competition.
The very first thing I cooked was a smoked pork butt, so easy to keep the temperature low and stable! Very pleasantly surprised by how little charcoal it took for an 10 hour cook.
I will say it was easy to assemble and was a very complete package. However, you will definitely need to have help since it is Heavy! Definitely keep this in mind when you buy it if the retailer does not deliver and set it up for you.
Lastly, there was a small chip in the finish on the bottom edge, but with the touch up paint that kamado joes offers, it is not visible and has zero affect on its performance or longevity.

Better than Green Egg

I bought my Kamado Joe after using my son’s green egg when he moved back in with me for 6 months. I had to have a green egg as I fell in love with it. As I researched, I saw the Kamado Joe had more standard features and the price point was much better. I bought the classic Joe and I like it much better than the green egg. It is an awesome grill for smoking, grilling, baking, and making pizzas.

Just what we needed!

As retirees, the Joe Jr is just perfect for us. It holds four big steaks, so definitely enough grill for us as well as a couple guests. It is easily maneuvered and heats up very quickly.

Excellent Piece of Kit for family of 4

I was worried that the grill would be too small for food for 4, but I was mistaken. From whole chickens, pork shoulders, chicken wings, and chicken thighs, I have been able grill and smoke with less fuel and it’s easier to control the temperature of what I’m cooking. Zero regrets! The only thing that I’d be worried about would be open-lid grilling due to the plastic handle.

We have owned our Big Joe for many years and continue to find new ways to cook almost everything! We grill, smoke, rotisserie chickens and even our Thanksgiving turkey every year. We cook pizzas, calzones, and bread. There is no limit to what you can cook with this unit.

Great smoker

I wanted a smoker and in May 2023 decided to take advantage of a great deal on a series 1 Big Joe. It has been perfect. Whether smoking pork shoulder or brisket everything comes out perfect. I've also made homemade pizza and beef jerky and those were excellent too! Very happy with my purchase!

The pit is great! I use it at least twice a week. I’ve had thekamado for 5 years and cook chicken and steaks and even turkeys. I have the rotisserie add on and it’s a great add on.
