I’ve had Little Joe Jr for 4 yrs now. Awesome little smoker/griller. Easy to load up in the Truck/RV for camping or any other event you might have goin on. At the beginning I was a little worried about keeping the temp were it needed to be but it’s right on every time. I’ll take BIG RED over Big green any day
For the past 8 years We have grilled , smoked, slow cooked, & made amazing pizza's ( Mac and Cheese , & Alfredo pizzas are the bomb) and our KAMADO JOE has never let us down . With no more then the basic care and maintenance ,cleaning and covering ( we did replace the lid gasket) . This grill is BULLET PROOF.
I received this as a gift from my wife 4 years ago to be part of my newly built outside kitchen and it has been a treat for an simple day dinner or the main attraction during a friends get-together. From a brisket to a carne asada or a rotisserie with a pizza as an appetizer it has been a great addition to our home as is hard to believe that we prefer our Big Joe over the other available options we also have such as the gas grill or the pizza oven, I can't even remember if in the whole last year had to buy any propane for these as the Big Joe hardly cools down when is ready to go again!
I purchased a joe Jr last summer,i loved it from day one. Then i saw the classic 1 on sale and purchased that also. The grills have been great although there is a bit of a learning curve. If youy are in the market and are considering a Kamado Joe ust go for it you won't be disappointed .I love to do reverse sear steak using the divide and conquer system
The Big Joe® Grill – Series I has been an outstanding cooker in my backyard. It’s easy to use, heats up predictably, and once you learn the vents it holds temperature with very little babysitting. The build quality feels top-notch—solid ceramics, sturdy hardware, and a tight seal that makes low-and-slow cooks reliable.
Where it really shines is the results: steaks come off with a great sear, ribs and pork shoulder get that clean smoke flavor, and pizzas bake with crisp crusts and a nice char. The Big Joe size is a bonus—it handles big cooks for a crowd without feeling cramped.
It’s also remarkably versatile. I can go from smoking at 225°F to grilling hot and fast, then switch to baking or roasting without changing equipment. Overall, Series I delivers fantastic food, dependable performance, and the kind of versatility that makes it the centerpiece of an outdoor setup
I purchased a Joe Junior because I live in an apartment complex. The space is extremely limited. The system is perfect for my patio & perfect for cooking dinner for two. My steaks are cooked to perfection. My first time using the Kamado style grill. The price is 100% justifiable. I use to own a smoky Joe and the switch is life changing for me.
