[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first cook was a ribeye on my KJ1, night and day difference from my other grills. It’s hard to explain but there’s just something about Kamado Joe that’s superior to other kamado style grills. For me now it’s KJ or nothing

Awesome smoker/grill/outdoor oven

Truth be told I never bought my Joe, its a twice hand me down. Im the third owner, My ex boss gave it to one of my coworkers used, dirty and in pieces fully disassembled, he cleaned it and put it together and used it two or three years. than he gave it to me. I,ve been using it for a couple of years. Had to put a new thermostat on it when I got it, and just today I had to replace the original heat shield and grate (heat shield was cracked when it got it) with a Divide & Conquer grate and two piece heat deflector. Can't say enough great things about this grill, you can grill, smoke, bake etc. Once you dial in the temperature you want it stays there for hours. It very efficient with the lump charcoal I use ( I don't use the high dollar charcoal either ) I'm always amazed at the amount of charcoal left after I smoke a Boston butt. in the past 5-6 weeks I've smoked 5 butt plus pork chops and potatoes with onion and garlic. Put a pizza stone in you got a pizza oven. Bake pies, bread etc??? Anyone considering buying one don't hesitate, it's an awesome grill. I would suggest it its in your budget buy the 24" model as mine is 18" and my only complaint would be I wish it was 24". Sorry my review was so long but we really love the grill

From day one I have had great food and many compliments. Smoking, baking and just plain grilling everything turned out awesome!. I like ed it enough that I bought a joe jr also. Thrilled with both grills!
