I’ve had my Classic Kamado for 11 years now. Still have all original parts. The flavor that the grill puts out cannot be matched and the quality of the grill pieces and parts are second to none. My grill has been through two cross country moves and always stands up to the challenge when grilling for multiple people. Even my wife agrees there is no better grill than the Kamado Joe
I’ve been using my Kamado Joe Big Joe I for a while now and fire it up at least three times a week. It delivers excellent heat control and flavor, and it’s a joy to cook on whether I’m grilling and/or smoking. The size is perfect for larger cooks, and it holds temperature incredibly well.
That said, I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars because the paint on the side tables has started lifting, which is now causing some rust. It’s a bit disappointing considering the overall build quality of the grill. Still, the performance outweighs that issue for me, and I’d recommend it to anyone serious about outdoor cooking.
Easy to use. When I first got the Camaro Joe, I was a little worried. It was gonna be too hard to use, but then I started using it more and I found out. It’s very easy easy to control the temperature easy to cook. Any type of food takes a little longer than a gas grill, but the taste is so much better.!!!!
In the days of throw-away products, my Big Joe is one that I figure to last my lifetime and then some. We grill more than we cook inside and most of the grills I owned were lucky to last 2 years. My grill is more than ten years old and the only thing that needs replacing is the bottom plate. We have friends that have other manufacturers ceramic grills and they are constantly replacing parts like the lid gasket and hinges. And Kamoto charcoal…the best on the market!
