Great experience from opening the crate to eating the first steak. Taking off all the shrink wrap took longer than getting the flame going. Directions were easy to follow and I had a fire going within minutes of placing the coal in the bowl. Heated up fast and got the temp at 450 holding steady in about 15 minutes. Love this little grill, named it Scarlett. Does an awesome job for its size.

I have NEVER had chicken as juicy and flavorful as I get with the Kamado Joe Jr and smoked pizza...Forget about it!! I can't say enough about the build quality and performance of this grill and don't let the smaller size fool ya!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had a Joe Jr. for almost two years now, and it has truly transformed the way we barbecue (and the way we think about outdoor cooking in general.) For its size and price, it's a wonderful gateway to the world of ceramic grill cooking. And for small households (we're seniors), it lets us cook all of our favorites (salmon, paella, and lamb burgers) in more than adequate quantities, using less charcoal and often in half the time of the full-sized grills.

Outstanding grill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little bit skeptical about going back to a charcoal grill from the gas grill I had been using for the past 15 years, but the Kamodo Joe experience has been the best. Steaks grilled on the Kamodo Joe are the best I’ve ever cooked. I use it to cook pork butts low and slow and it produces the best tasting pulled pork ever. I have also used the pizza stone accessory to experiment with delicious homemade pizza’s. Undoubtably the best grill I’ve ever owned.
