This is a great size for someone in the city with a concrete balcony. I was using an aluminum smoker/grill and wasn't getting the results due to loss of heat. The Joe Jr. does what it says as far as consistent heat and infrared heat. It all helped make some amazing meals. Although the consistent heat is there, its still a learning process as far as dialing in the temp. Clean up is a little messy if your space is limited, but if this was in a backyard ash could go wherever and not the balcony below. It is small so figuring out what fits is a little tricky as well. I wrapped a rack of ribs but had to move it around a bit as the temp gauge shoots down into the dome. All of these things add to a little learning curve, but I'm still happy and look forward to whats next

Got this grill a few months ago. The Jr is perfect for my family of four. If you are looking to grill for more than that, you may want to look at getting a bigger grill but as it stands I can do an entire spatchcock chicken, about 3 steaks and 4 normal sized burgers which works out perfect. Thing maintains heat like a beast. Really easy to use.

I’ve had it a few weeks now, done several cooks, and love it so far. It’s a perfect size for the the two of us. It holds temperature very well and everything I’ve cooked on it has tasted great. It’s light enough for one or two people to move easily, but added a Grilla Cart, (it fit perfectly) which gets it up a bit higher. Highly recommended.

Great little grill/smoker. Surprisingly capable for its size. Super skimpy on fuel, heats very quickly and holds a steady temperature once dialed in. Smoked a brisket flat for 12 hours and had plenty of fuel left over for plank salmon the next day. Eliminates the hesitancy of firing up a bigger smoker when you’re only cooking for a few. Combine all that with a great customer service experience and you’re left with nothing more to like. This little guy rocks!

I own one for 4 years now, and it's ideal. For Dutch standards it easily serves four. The dimensions are so smart. Whole chicken: fits. Two sizeable sea breams: fits. It's just the larger rib racks that need to be portioned and smoked sideways. The frame puts it high enough to operate by slightly bending over, and since mine is placed on a roof terrace accessed via a hatch, it's also low enough to be operated from within the hatch (half open) on a rainy low&slow cook. Light enough to be hoisted up 5 stairs. Heats up in no time. The only feature caveat is the absence of a weather proof vent. But I fixed that with a improv add on from the local hardware store. Recommended it to a colleague who then fell in love with the Classic II instead :-)
