My wife bought this for me several years ago for my birthday. After decades of cooking on gas grills, I needed to get back to my basics of cooking on charcoal like I did before gas grill were even available. This unit has has all the basics covered and more. Accessories such as the Do Joe, Jotisserie, Napolean basket make this about as versatile as you can get if you are a backyard barbecue wanna be like me.

Do you want a great kamado?

I purchased my ClassicJoe in January of 2016 and haven’t regretted since. The only downside of the Kamado Joe is my wife continues telling everybody how great the meat is I cook on it. It seems like I’ve got too many new friends. All kidding asides the ClassicJoe is the real deal, it does everything it is touted to do and it does it all very well. Here in Maryland we get some wild seasonal weather changes. More than once I have shoveled snow in the winter around the Joe just to cook pork chops or chicken on it. We enjoy the flavor and dependable results of everything we cook on the ClassicJoe, from slow smoke pork shoulder, to brisket to steaks to pizza to burgers to veggies and on and on. If you need something to put on your Christmas list, a Kamado Joe is a good choice. Maybe Santa will bring me a BigJoe for Christmas.

I've had two classic 1's and a junior coming up on 2 years. Amazing appliances. Smoke , grill, bake, anything you want. Hardly cook inside at all anymore.

I've had my KJ since like 2009 and it's still the best money I've ever spent. I've made some upgrades along the way, but didn't absolutely need to because of failing parts. It's so comforting to know this is the last grill I'll ever need to purchase. Works equally great as a grill, pizza oven, and smoker.
