Terrific grill and lots of fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially, I bought a less expensive smoker to see if I really enjoyed it. I've had a big gas grill for decades, but always enjoyed charcoal. So after having the "trial" smoker for a couple of years, I decided to upgrade to a kamado type grill. It was between the Joe and the Egg. After lots of thought and research, I dedided on the Joe and am very happy I made that decision. I've only had my Classic III since April, but am extremely pleased with it. Temp control is super easy and with the accessories, the grill is very versatile . I still have and use my gas grill for basic grilling, but will also use the Joe because it is simply fun and cool! Quality is extremely good - this thing is built like a tank. In my opinion, the Joe has two big advantages over the Egg. First the top is much easier to lift and the hinge is a better design. Then the ash clean-out is a better design and easier to clean. This thing is just so simple to use. I'm looking forward to years of both grilling and smoking with my Classic Joe III. Bottom line - I'm very pleased with this product and give it my hearty recommendation with no strings attached. If you are considering one, don't hesitate to choose a Joe.

Beautifully engineered, resilient, and fun to boot

It weathers harsh New England winters with grace, can rip a full basket for 18 hours straight, and can serve so many functions in an outdoor kitchen with the great attachment ecosystem. Love being part of the KJ family.

Love My Kamado Joe!

It is easy to start and there is a surprising amount of charcoal left for the next cook once I have shut it down. I have cooked some amazing meats and would definitely recommend this to anyone that is on the fence.
