[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cook for 2 people and love the multi zone cooking on my BIG JOE III but have the flexibility to cook a large group if needed. This is the only way to go!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a kid, my dad picked up a Kamado and he used it for almost 30 years only letting it go because the metal stand rotted away, and he was getting ready to move to Florida.
I bought this after using a Weber gas grill for 25 years and an electric smoker for 10 years. While the gas was convenient, I wanted the smoke flavor back and the smoker was not convenient to use. The Kamado Joe replaced both and has performed great will no extra effort. We have cooked Fish, Beef, Poultry, and Pork on the Kamado Joe with excellent result and flavor. I will also point out that we use to use a countertop rotisserie for chick at least once a month and since we go the Kamado Joe, we have only pulled it out twice. I will also add that the Kamado Joe is way more functional and easier to maintain that the old one my father had. I am extremely happy with this unit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Big Joe! Features are so much better than Green Egg. It is easy to clean, the slider drawer makes it so easy to remove used charcoal. The divider is nice for small cooks and the temperature control is uncanny when the pit is clean. Easy to relight used charcoal. Split grill is very cool. If I would change anything it would be to have some sort of locking mechanism to hold grates in place.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value as compared to BGE. We use our KJ at least 4 nights per week grilling chicken, salmon, pork tenderloin, and others. Weekends are great for smoking a butt or shoulder, or ribs. Food tastes fantastic. They stand by their product too. I just had two pieces down in the bottom replaced under warranty due to cracks. No questions asked.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the BigJoe for a few years now and love everything about it. But I think the best is the consistent heat and burn of the charcoal. Would definitely recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been part of the Kamado Joe for 5 years now…first with the classic and now with the Big Joe III and I can’t say enough about them! Amazing quality, both in the grill itself and the bbq I’m able to achieve. Would recommend to anyone serious about bbq!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spent a few months researching BGE and Kamado Joe as an upgrade to my Traeger and went with the Big Joe III. I’m thrilled with it. Fantastic heat retention and temperature control, sturdy construction, and the Joetisserie and Soapstone are must have accessories. The only slight issue I have with it is the cart is a bit wobbly when moving it and will push down a little when I close the lid. I recommend putting it in one spot, locking the wheels, and leaving it. But overall a great purchase.
