Big Joe lll Review

I bought the Big Joe lll in January 2020. What intrigued me the most was the addition of the SloRoller. The technology of the SloRoller was to distribute smoke and heat in recirculating waves resulting in enhanced smoke flavor. This new technology works as advertised. I had a previous ceramic grill/smoker and didn't feel the smoke flavor was as good as on my offset stick smoker. That is no longer the case.
Also the new Big Joe lll requires very little assembly unlike many of the Kamado Joe competitors. Since purchasing the Big Joe Im haven't looked back and use it as may primary grill and smoker.

Have owned kamel joe jr for two years. definitely the best grill and smoker I have ever owned over 50 years. The flavor you get from smoked meats is incredible, something I could never get on my gas or regular charcoal grill. Definitely worth the price. Quality is excellent.

You’ll never use a propane grill again, QUALITY!!!

I spent a long time researching and saving for a forever BBQ. I was originally set on the Engelbrecht Braten, then I started to look into egg style grills. All roads pointed to Kamado Joe. When I went to go see this grill in person I couldn’t believe the quality. This grill is like parking a Ferrari on your patio, it gets all the attention.
Let’s get on to bang for your buck, when you compare prices of all the Kamado style grills one thing missing from the price comparison is that the Kamado Joe comes with everything you need to smoke and grill. All the other Kamados you have to buy accessories, the Kamado Joe comes with everything you need to grill and smoke.
Performance, this grill holds heat like no other grill. On other smokers I have had maintaining the firebox was a pain. This grill maintains temp on one load of charcoal and lasts for a long cook without having to add more coals. And when your done cooking just close all the dampers and the coals go out and you can reuse them next time.
Even before I got the kamado joe I was using kamado big block charcoal in my other smoker and its the best lump charcoal you can get. These blocks are huge and long burning, just like everything Kamado Joe does they are quality.
Lastly the attention to detail is another thing that sets this kamado apart from all other grills. When I went to pick up my grill I couldn’t get past how well this grill was packaged. The cardboard is so thick you would think it is bulletproof.
If your in the market for a new grill forget propane, you have an oven and gas grills dont impart the same flavors lump charcoal. As far shopping for a Kamado YouTube is your best reference, I watched hours worth of videos on comparisons and people cooking on all makes of Kamados and every time the Kamado Joe came out on top. Even after I was set on the Kamado Joe I have racked up several hours more worth of cooking videos, I have a long list of must cooks on this grill but everything I have done so far has been amazing. But so far my favorite 3 cooks I have done are a Tri Tip, St Louis Ribs and Octopus. My first upgrade to this grill will be the DoJoe as I do a lot of bread baking.

Love My KJ III

I absolutely love my Kamado Joe!! It is a great smoker and grill compared to Big Green Egg.
(which I have owned two over the years). I bought my Big Joe III last year for my birthday. It is a superior grill in every way...from the one finger lifting of the top to the heavy duty seal it provides, I can't say enough good things about my KJ. IT ROCKS!

Amazing Grill

I bought mine 4 months ago and use it twice a week. I wasn’t sure if I should get the Classic or Big Joe. I’m so glad I went with Big Joe. The size is perfect for a 18lb brisket and let’s you easily reverse sear 4 big steaks at once.
