Go Big Joe, or Go Home!

I bought my Big Joe over a year ago. This is my first Kamado. I investigated quite a bit, and chose the bright red Kamado Joe over the green thing due to the available accessories and price point. No buyers remorse here!

Getting the hang of it!

I've had the Big Joe III for two week and smoked ribs, pork shoulder and some seared steaks. Controlling the temperature is ok, but the trickiest part is estimating the amount of lump cahrcoal to use, this requires more practice, i understimated on my steaks yesterday, as cooked vegies in a cast iron dish on the side with indirect heat amd the steaks on direct- should've done both in direct heat . Great tasting food and a life experience :-)

Fantastic Temperature Control

I upgraded from a PRIMO XL to the Big Joe Series III last month and have really enjoyed the extra surface area, better freatures, and superior temperature control. I used the Big Joe multiple times a week, and it is great for cooking for my family of eight.

My GO-To Grill

I have a kettle grill, A pellet grill too but my go-to grill is my red Kamado. You can do anything on it, low and slow or hot/sear. The top and bottom vents allow temperature control over the whole spectrum, Easy clean out with the ash drawer. It came with the divide and conquer cooking system that allows three tiers of half cooking levels. Also, the slow roller smoking system for low and smoky. There are many other different accessories for grilling fish, vegetables and meats. It has a5 year warranty and great service department too.

Worth it’s weight in…charcoal

I grew up on charcoal but as an adult went propane. In past 30 years haven’t enjoyed the experience or flavor. Kept eyeing the Kamado grills. After extensive research went with the Classic III. Haven’t failed a dinner yet. Everything we cook is loaded with flavor and moist! And the ability for it to pizzas is an added bonus. I was nervous about the time it would take to regulate and cook but that is not an issue. It maintains temps better than any propane grill I have ever owned. I enjoy cooking on it. I am super excited to be able to extend my grilling season through the winter as a north eastern gal transplanted from Fl , this really added the icing on the cake!
