I am new to grilling and I’ve smoked wings, ribs, whole chicken and at no point have I been disappointed. If you want maximum smoke flavor with the ease of a well thought out grill/smoker. Look no further.

I never write reviews but I can't say enough about my Kamado Joe - Big Joe III. I spent a lot of time researching smokers before I purchased anything and nothing came close, it's even Comsumer Reports number one pick for a Kamado grill. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I'm a grill-oholic. I grill 3-4 times a week. I have several nice grills. I my my Big Joe III almost a year ago. It did cost a bit but well worth it. It's the best for grilling and smoking. It comes with all the stuff that other grills make you buy extra. The quality and heavy construction will allow this grill to last for ever. Easy to set and maintain temperatures whether you are doing a long slow cook or a high heat cook.I just did a 17 1/2 hour brisket cook. Had a good bit of charcoal left over and an unbelievable piece of meat. The slow roller, that comes with it, is fantastic for long, slow cooks with great smoke. I could keep on about this cooker but gotta get ready for my next smoke.

I bought this last fall. KJ is addicting ... pizza perfect ... rotisserie ... perfect .... smoking perfect ... with the ikammad it will be ready for cooking in about same time as a gas grill. The flat cast iron grate. Additional cast iron pots make the uses endless... my 2 gas grills moved on to other homes this is all you need. Uses very little fuel, love the ash bucket, all the extra items that came with that were extras on the bge... was very much worth every penny. My other half tells everybody nothing has gone on there that has not come out perfect... he even eats veggies now. Overall i love it... did i mention the top is very easy to open and close ... i am older and not so strong.

Experience - have owned small, simple gas barbeques before but very little experience overall and none with smoking or charcoal grills.
This cooker absolutely exceeded all our expectations. First, the shipping was fast and the item is extremely well packed. It is very heavy though, you definitely need two people to get it out and on the rolling cart. Take your time and read the instructions to see where to lift from, etc.
As far as cooking, it's amazing. I got great results right off the bat. I'm cooking out here in in -5 to -20 Celsius and the kamado has been great. There's probably a little more learning curve since the temperature outside is so cold I really have to keep the dome closed but this won't be as much of an issue the rest of the year. I've cooked about 10 times on it already in the last month or so and will probably use it even more in the spring / summer.
All the accessories that come with it are very high quality. No complaints whatsoever.
Can't recommend this enough, great great product.

This is hands down my favorite purchase I’ve ever made. When you compare it to other kamado grills, the cooks are pretty equal, but it’s in the accessories and features where Kamado Joe rises above the rest of the pack. Other Kamado grills will nickle and dime you to death making you buy all these extra accessories a la carte, but Kamado Joe understands that if you’re investing this much into a grill, it’s nice to throw in those extra. And the features destroy other Kamado grills. From the spring loaded lid, to the included aluminum cart on wheels and the grill side tables, to the ash tray (game changer since other grills are much more cumbersome to clean out the ash) to the extraordinary Slo Roller, this grill easily rises above the rest. And I highly recommend buying their lump charcoal and wood products as well. I also have almost every grilling surface from them and I have not been disappointed. Buy this grill NOW. You will not regret it. I’ve had it for 6 weeks and have cooked at least four days a week on it.
