[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Heard about the BGE several years ago. Could not make the decision to spend that much on a grill. When I found KJ and researched, it was obvious that KJ was a better overall choice. Finally made the leap earlier this year and could not be happier. Took a bit to get the hang of managing fire, but once I was able to get it dialed in, the cooks have been amazing. Ribs, pork shoulder, salmon, meatloaf, jerky have all turned out great. Looking forward to my first brisket.

My kids were not big red meat eaters before getting the Big Joe, but now they love the Steaks, Brisket, Ribs, and pretty much everything else I cook on this grill.

I have used egg smokers in the past and they are my preferred version of smoker. But Komodo Joe makes an egg smoker that's just a cut above the rest. Every single detail is meticulously thought out. It takes a little more time and patience, but the results speak for themselves. If you are on the fence, just do it.
