Water in a compartment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had my washer for 6 months and there is water in the fabric softner compartment. I sometimes use the fabric softner feature so not sure how water got into it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to share your washer experience, uortej. The way fabric conditioner drawers’ work is that they are actually a siphon. The reason you have clear water in it at the end is, that the siphon is plugged up, so when your washing machine goes into the cycle where it's supposed to ad softener, it starts flowing water into that compartment and because of the blockage, the water together with the conditioner doesn’t go out the bottom opening in the drawer instead it overflows the compartment. It still goes down into the washing machine it's just that the drawer never drains the water.
Remove the insert from the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Clean the bottom of the insert and the bleach and fabric softener compartments. Reinstall the insert and put the drawer back inside the washer. To test the siphon action slowly pour water into the bleach compartment. When the water level goes above the maximum line stop pouring. The water should all drain out. You may also test the fabric softener compartment the same way.

Husband loves it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our new Frigidaire washing machine a month ago and have nothing but praise for it to date. My husband does the washing of our clothes as I am disabled and unable to get to where the machine is located. He said his favorite feature is the automatic load. He says all he does is put the clothes and detergent in the machine and it calibrates how much water to put in. He loves this feature. We also own a glass top stove and refrigerator made by Frigidaire. Can you tell we love their products?
