Do not buy this washer!!! Frigidaire should be ashamed.

I’m disappointed that Frigidaire is lawfully allowed to sell these machines. They do not get your clothes clean!! I have read the instruction manual backwards and forwards several times to get tips for a better experience to no avail. How does a consumer expect to get clean clothes from a machine that uses little to no water, a small amount of detergent, and no agitation? Clothes will go through a complete cycle and some items will still be dry. The idea of the “he” washer is to use low water and the clothes will rub against each other to get clean. This is a bunch of crap!! The clothes don’t even turn over in the water and some items never even get emerged in the water. The clothes will stay in the same spot the entire cycle. If you use the “deep fill” option, then you’re wasting water and the clothes just float in the water like a lazy river with no movement. You can choose “deep fill” to add a little more water to cover the clothes, but if you turn off “deep fill” before the machine has filled with water, you have to be there to catch the rinse cycle because it will not use enough water. If the rinse cycle has low water, then you’re forced to drag a bucket of water to add to the load. I’ve been dragging water for a year!!! I’ve recently hurt my back and now have to use “deep fill” for every load to ensure the clothes become full emerged. Now I have too much water, with little detergent and the clothes don’t get clean because there is no rubbing action although I have what appears to be an agitator. The only clothes that may get agitated are the ones on the bottom of the machine. My water bill has significantly increased because I must use “deep fill”. Any clothes with bodily fluids come out still dirty (i.e., handkerchiefs used for runny noses, potty training briefs). This is the first time in 30 years that I’ve had to use stain remover. I’m sitting here in literal tears because I saved my hard earned money to purchase the machine and it’s useless! Frigidaire should be ashamed of their selves. I can’t afford to buy another machine.

Good features

I have had the chance to really use the washer for over a month. I like the features it has. There are just a few things that I do not like. Water is always left in the fabric softener compartment after every wash. Had a repair man come out and look at it and he told me that I needed to either empty after every wash or take a towel and sock it up. What the heck???? Also, washer is VERY LOUD during spin cycle!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

JimmyBB, thank you for sharing your top loading washer review. The way fabric softener dispensers work, is that they are actually a siphon. One possible reason you might have water remaining, could be that the siphon is plugged up. The softener still goes down into the washing machine, it's just that the dispenser never drains the water. The drain hose may be pushed too far down into the drain pipe creating a syphoning issue. Please see page 17 in your Owner’s Manual for information on sounds. If none of the trouble shooting suggestions apply to the sound you are hearing, please do not hesitate to reconnect with us directly for assistance by calling Mon-Fri, 8a-8p or Saturday 9a-6p EST @ 800-944-9044. We are here for you. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

Cheap Junk

The builder supplied the appliances in our new home, and unfortunately chose Frigidaire. These appliances are the worst I've ever encountered. They are cheaply made and don't work properly. We've had problems with every one of them - Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Washer, and Dryer. I will not recommend that anyone buy your brand.

Annoying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two things really bother me about this washer. It can't just fill. It will repeatedly jar and pressure test your entire plumbing system by abruptly cutting off hot or cold. Like BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM. The other issue is the mandatory initial back and forth spinning that immediately unbalances the load. Which means that every time you load it you have to hit pause right as it starts with water to redistribute the load. Just dumb.

Not happy

First let me say I love Frigidaire products and the company as a whole. What happened to this particular washing machine? I'm dumbfounded. Normal cycle is not enough water to cover a normal load (I'm 47 Years old I know what normal is) there is no water level sensor which is CRAZY so next wash I chose Max Fill, which is a total waste of water for a normal load. Bulky option is ninety minutes long. The agitator seems to just "swish" the clothes around with lackadaisical motion, which is probably why it cannot "grab" the clothes down to water level? There seems to be a lot of options to choose from but don't let that fool you in to believing this machine can do it all...it simply can't...

Hi Caron8!
I understand your concern with not seeing as much water in your washer. Being that your washer is energy efficient, it may not use as much water as previous models. However, the correct water level is used on each cycle option. I hope this helps!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a little loud and I don't like it spinning the clothes before the water is in there. I know it is just sensing the load size, but it sometimes balls them all up on one side of the tub.

Worst machine ever!
on November 20, 2021
Posted by: HDRider06
This machine was included in the purchase price of my brand new home. I have had absolutely NOTHING but problems with this machine. I’ve had repair men out to fix it numerous times, they just tell me or my mom (cuz she’s available while I’m at work) that there’s nothing wrong but yet as soon as they leave the same issue continues. Where to start, the fabric softener dispenser wouldn’t drain all the way, supposedly that was resolved but then the next thing that happened was my home was dang near flooded from the washer because a “hose came lose” that connected the fabric softener dispenser so during the rinse cycle the water was going all over my floors. That was “supposedly” fixed as well. Oh then the next thing was the E4 (I’m not certain as I feel like I’ve seen them all at this point) error saying the lid isn’t closed when it clearly was….but I digress. Mind you all of this was within 6-8 months of extremely light use as it is just me in my home. Well let’s fast forward to today, same issue still occurs, if you press the fabric softener button my whole house will be covered in water but if you don’t then it seems to operate “normally.” Normal though is a word I wouldn’t use for this machine. It agitates before it even starts adding water to “put the laundry to the lowest level possible to conserve water”…….Baloney! That is the DUMBEST idea ever because it bunches everything to one side, makes things uneven which throws errors, etc. Let’s not even talk about the wash time….quick wash??…..that’s a joke in itself…..it takes 40+ mins….where is the quick at? I have used NUMEROUS different brands and styles of machines in my 33 years of life and NONE of them have ever frustrated me like this one. Please do yourself the biggest favor and DO NOT purchase this machine!
