Good but could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer came with the house we bought last month. It has a lot of auto settings but that does not work all the time. Specially the water level sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. When the drum rotates, the clothes get collected on 1 side of it and that may be the reason behind the washer detecting wrong level. Another feature I miss is being able to open the lid without pressing pause.

Not enough water

I need more than approx. 6 inches of water to adequately wash a "normal" load of sheets & towels for our family of 2. The only use I have for a "Normal" wash is for my husbands handkerchiefs (I always wash them separately).
I am using the Max fill for all of my other washing needs. I am very unhappy with my purchase. I'd love to donate this machine to someone but I'd feel very sorry for anyone who has to use this machine to take care of the washing needs of a family.

I’m sorry to hear you’re not happy with your washer.
One of the primary ways HE (high-efficiency) washers get clothes clean is through the wash action. High-efficiency washers are designed to use less water and energy. It is perfectly normal for the water level to appear lower than what you may have experienced with an older top load washer.
For laundry loads needing extra water, some Frigidaire Top Washers have the Max Fill feature. Keep in mind this feature and will increase the duration of the cycle time. The Max Fill feature is not recommended for regular day-to-day use but more on an as-needed basis.
Are you using a detergent marked “he”? High-efficiency detergents are formulated to reduce soap suds and ensure proper cleaning. High-efficiency detergents are designed for top load washers like yours, which use less water.

Was this washer ever even tested before approving

I’ve had this washer about 10 days . I don’t understand how any engineer or even 4th grader could approve such terrible designs . It looks sleek and is pretty but that’s just about it.
The washer starts by agitating the Dry clothes , this essentially bunches the clothes up into a ball. They say this is to “determine the size of the load”. How about let people determine the size .

While washing the machine after draining the tub again agitates the clothes (empty tub) which bundles the clothes up. This sets off another sensor that tells the machine the load isn’t balanced . Who woulda thought? You agitate clothes with no water , it bundles them up and then it’s unbalanced . Wow
This is the best part , so after it senses it’s unbalanced it adds more water ! Agitates again and will try to balance the load the same way it unbalances the load . So as high efficiency it’s using more water and electric since it goes through this process 3-4 times each load. That is of course unless you check on the load during each transition.
Unless you like using more water . Washing 5 items at a time, or staring by your washer and adjusting it multiple times to wash properly then you should stay away. Such a disappointment and let down .
Look at the unpaid non promotional reviews throughout anywhere online . Very common issue these things have. I will never recommend this or any of their items to anyone. I just hope at least 1 person sees this review , and changes their mind. It is not worth the hassle.

Great features but is not dependaple
