Washing Machine Cycles Need Customization Option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set of machines came with my new home. I was thrilled to have a "Max Fill" option, but it is an option for only a few cycles, like Bulky & Heavy Duty. Many other cycles don't add enough water to cover the clothes! I just put in a medium load of new towels of a darker color, to be washed separately in cold water. I used the "Normal" cycle, which was a big mistake bc the water level did not cover even HALF of the towels. The machine apparently has no "sensing" mechanism for water level related to clothing level. (My last machine another brand DID.) This one seemed to lack a sensor that would tell it that there were several dry towels in 3 inches of water. I turned the power off and tried the "Bulky" cycle WITHOUT the "Max Fill" option, and when I went back to check on them, the washer had definitely "max filled" the tub, so that was a big waste of water! Manufacturers seem to program their machines to limit options that the owner would be able to better manage to ensure their clothes were getting the best treatment possible. I would LOVE to have a washing machine that would allow ME to select the cycle, wash time, water temperature, and water level. I can make better decisions about this than the machine because I know how many of what I put it in and I read the care instructions! Why not add one cycle ("Owner's Choice") that would allow owner-operators to tell it exactly how clothes should be treated?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Distribution Issues

Horrible agaitator. It does not distribute clothes evenly even when you put them in evenly. Ends up unbalanced every time. I have had this washer for 14 months and it just broke and I came home to a flooded house because it kept filling with water and did not automatically shut off as it should have. The whole drum is off kilter and it makes a horrible noise when washing or spinning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke after 1 year

Stopped agitating/spinning after 1 year. Fills and drains with water but does not actually wash anything anymore.

The worst washer ever

First the matching will move the clothing around till the point it's in balanced the refuse to proceed till you open the lid and moved the wet clothes around making you sit there while it fills littterally as slow as possible to make.sure it will continue to fill. If you choose to fill it with cold or tap temp water it will littterally fill for 10 seconds then stop for 10 seconds then do that over and over again taking forever to fill. I can belive I wasted my hard earned money on this set and I won't wast my money on another frigidaire product again.

I would never buy it again

It takes to long to wash cloths. I wish I had bought a different one. It takes 50 or more minutes to wash cloths even with just a few items....ridiculous. I can't even wash my bathroom mat without getting a few error messages where I have to pause and restart the cycle.
