Fabric softener not draining

Washer came with new home, does fair job cleaning. Fabric softener dispenser has only worked once, water stands in dispener at all times, it won't drain at all. The friggin manual says use hot water to flush, how in the world can one flush it if it won't drain.

For best results, use high-efficiency detergent and fabric softener because they are designed for top load washers like yours, which use less water. New Washer and dryer

takes a long time and too much intense spinning

We understand that you have tried different settings, but have you tried washing your steam mop pad on a delicate cycle? A delicate wash is a short, cold wash with slow tumbling and spinning. Use it for sweaters, lingerie, and other items that require a light touch. The delicate cycle uses a 'slow/slow' combination, meaning that the wash cycle uses a slow or lesser degree of agitation and the spin cycle uses a slow spin to extract water from laundry.
