Uneven heating and doesn’t get up to temp!

22" E-Series Review

I bought mine in November of 2022 and received in December of 2022. Love my unit at first and thought it was great but since then, I have had a lot of issues mostly with stuff sticking to the cooking surface even though I am using oil or butter then adding my food to cook. Once something sticks to the surface, it become very hard to remove. I have never used a metal utensil/cooking equipment on this unit. I even went out and bought the griddle scrubber and plastic cooking utensils to clean the surface. I have only used a soft sponge, soap, and warm/hot water to clean the surface if I remove it from the base. When I leave the cooking surface on the base, I will not clean it until it cools down significantly due to potential warping because of how thin the surface is.
Since the first use, it has always had a heating gradient with it being low to medium low on the edge, medium low to medium in the middle of each cooking zone and medium to medium hot or hotter in the middle of the cooking surface where both zones meet. Also, the cooking surface is very thin and mine has warped just due usage to the point it that these heating zones are even more pronounced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

About 2 1/2 inches all the way around doesn't get very hot. So your cook space is limited

This is pretty normal for our E-series models, if you do not allow it to preheat it really is only hot directly under the burners. Eventually, the entire griddle top will get hot.

No Grease cup

This blackstone makes griddleing... We'll.. Easy!! Portable, functional and practical!! Cooks food fast and amazingly! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a Griddle that can be used anywhere!! Anywhere you have a power source anyway!!
