I am so confused by all the great reviews. My griddle never seems to get hot enough and when it does it looses temperature and doesn’t recover. Costumer Service tells me it will recover in 15 minutes. WHAT? Who wants to add 15 minutes of cooking time? Also, the griddle is raised in the middle and is supposed to flatten when hot. Mine does not, the oil just runs to the sides instead of where I need it. I have had the heating element replaced and I am now waiting for a new cook top. They are both covered by warranty, but it has been such a hassle. Really regret buying it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are really sorry to hear about this! The base should be recovering within 5-10 minutes but would come back much quicker depending on the amount of food on the cooking surface. The new parts should not have this issue. Thank you for your feedback!
One last recommendation we have for you would be to ensure you are not having another item plugged into the same outlet as the griddle. They pull pretty much the max power to ensure you hit those high temperatures.

TOTAL GARBAGE

These are Garbage..I have the 22" version.. After the first week of using the griddle for 3 heavy cooks (about 10 steaks each cookout).. The griddle tends to shut down by itself every 5 minutes after about 5 to 10 minutes of cook time....These are total garbage.. I can do better with a cheap countertop electric skillet made by GE..

I bought this griddle and was very happy to finally have a Blackstone and see what the hype was that everyone was talking about for Blackstone. I've had this griddle maybe 3 months and have used it probably 6 times. The first three times was fine and it appeared to be a great griddle. That last few times I used it, it just shuts off randomly every min or so. I didn't realize it the first time and was wondering why it was taking so long to cook. Each time we have been at a different location, so it's not the outlet or the power source. The most recent time was last night at home. Highly disappointed with this product!!!

I’ve wanted a tabletop griddle for some time now to compliment my smoker. I just purchased a new home and was blessed to have the space and finances to put in my version of an outdoor kitchen, with my smoker being the main cooking source. Unbeknownst to me, after getting my Blackstone tabletop griddle, this appliance has become my main go to for cooking all kinds of wonderful meals. I don’t know how I survived without it for so long. I purchased the electric tabletop version, but it is plenty big enough and I’m more than able to make all kinds of wonderful dishes on it. Thank you Blackstone for making my life so much better.

Coating wears off

We own several other Blackstone griddles (as well as the pizza oven) and love them. We used this and cleaned it as directed and only used the Blackstone utensils for the electric griddle. It did not take long for the coating to wear off. Now we have it sitting in the sunroom on the cart and it is just taking up space. We loved it for few months that it was actually non stick. Will Blackstone ever sell a replacement top for it that the coating does not wear off like this one?
