What a piece of crap. The cooking surface is too thin. It warps when heated, causing all the cooking oil to run off to the edges. All the food also slides off to sides
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's Bussin'!

Since gifting this to my husband on Christmas, he's used it 4-6 times in the past week! Having a grill indoor is perfect for us. He hates the cold and will usually opt for meals that don't require it. I really liked the idea of the BlackStone Grill, but knew it wouldn't get it use if he had to go outside. We can just set this thing on the stove top and cook where we normally would.
He even got creative on New Years. He wanted to steam crab legs so instead of freezing his butt off on the back patio or stinking up the house, he just set this up in the garage. Delicious seafood without the lingering smell!! YES PLEASE!
He does the cooking and has said multiple times he LOVES it and it's Perfect for him.
I do the cleaning and it's SO easy to clean! The lid and grill tray can be disassembled easily if you want to scrub in the sink, but usually we can just wipe it down without having to disassemble. Plus the drip tray does it's job and is easy to clean out.
Be sure you have storage space for this large appliance. Luckily we have a large kitching and it fits in the large drawer under our stove.
I did go ahead and purchase the cover/carrying case and have a feeling we'll get some use out of taking this on future trips. We're not much for camping, but if we were, this would be phenomnal to have! It'd take up space, but you can't beat a portable stove like this!
Looking forward to many more tasty, and likely more healthy meals with this new discovery!

Not worked from the beginning

Every time I try to turn on and warm up the grill it warms to about 200 degrees and then shuts off automatically.

The grill doesn’t not work and turns off when you use both burners. Also the lid doesnt stay on when you open it

Power draw is wonky

Randomly shuts itself off when running on 450+ and will not turn on for 30+ seconds. Definitely an internal issue with the griddle.

I bought this for my boyfriend as a christmas gift, we were so excited to bust this bad boy open and cook on it because we live in an apartment, so we can't have the propane one!! unfortunately with every chance we've given it, it has disappointed us... no matter what we cook on it, it does nottt want to stay up to temp. we have tried eggs, bacon, smash burgers, pancakes... and it all sucked!!! it's just the two of us so it's not like we cook a lot at a time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Auto shut off - makes for a negative cooling exper

We were so excited to use our new electric Blackstone but half way through cooking, it auto shut off and when it turned back on we would have to reset the temp. This makes for longer cook times and a burden while cooking. Is there any fix to this issue?

Uneven heating

Just purchased this griddle because I thought it would be a great addition and BlackStone is supposed to have great products. I have to say though, I have been quite disappointed with this griddle that I had such high expectations of. My griddle does not heat evenly. Only the top middle sections on each side come to temperature enough to actually cook my food. The sides, bottom and parts of the top only get warm, never hot enough to actually cook anything. Also, the way the cooktop slopes causes oil to immediately run to the bottom. I was so excited and now that excitement has been extinguished.
