I was very excited when I bought this to make breakfast for the family. First time I tried it for the eggs on to make omelets and it runs to the corners. Apparently it's higher in the center and tapers towards the outside for what reason, I cannot understand. It would be fine if I got it to make burgers or any kind of meat but it does not work for eggs and that's what I wanted it for so I am very disappointed and I've heard the same review from others.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our newest electric griddles are designed to have a slight dome in the cooking surface. This design helps provide structure and stability to the griddle plate when it is first heated. When you begin cooking, the crowning will lessen and then return to shape after the unit is cooled. It should not affect the performance of your unit.
