Doesn’t stand up to use.

On my 3rd 22” electric and not happy with it. We use is to feed 3-4 meals a week for a semi larger group 10-20 and all three we have purchased the non stick coating has chipped away. Unfortunately blackstone never has just the replacement cooktop in stock so we have had to replace the griddle every time. First in the cord overheated and melted at the connection point in the back of the griddle almost causing a fire.
I have 4 other gas blackstone products I stand by but these electric ones are draining my back account. Time to spend $60 more and buy a small commercial electric cooktop

Bought this a couple weeks ago and have cooled about 4 times. The amount of cooktop space is GREAT, and the overall build quality seems very good. But like others have stated the domed cook surface makes it nearly impossible to use oil of any kind and even cooking eggs is a problem as they run to the side. And then there’s the actual temp. ANY food touches the surface and the temp drops substantially, it’s nearly impossible to brown or seer anything, even pancakes come out very light colored. I picked this over the outdoor version and clearly made a mistake.

We are sorry to hear about that heating issue! As we have mentioned to other customers with that review on the dome, it is designed to keep the top from flexing when heated. When your griddle top heats up, it should flatten out. Where yours is having heating issues, it likely won't flatten out.

Griddle top is non stick material not cast iron

I have had this griddle since Christmas, a gift from my husband. After 4 months of use I can safely say this griddle is overpriced version of any standard griddle. The lid while helpful, does not have a arm or anything to hold it open, so it becomes inconvenient while cooking. The non stick surface wears at the areas where the heating elements are and food sticks in those areas. Even the Blackstone logo just rubbed off after a couple of uses.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi All,
We've had the griddle since Christmas 2023, We like to cook on it. But the doomed feature really makes eggs and everything run to the sides. Don't know if ours is doomed more than normal, it seems really off. Also had noticed the middle sticks and really doesn't come clean.

Unusable! Shuts off and goes blank screen every couple of minutes. Don’t waste your money… Absolutely worthless product!

Does get hot enough

Doesn't get hot enough. Had to transfer all my food into a couple of skillets. Was set to 500 and wouldn't even sizzle. Waste of money.

The price of this thing does not match what you get out of it. Half of the grill will not heat after a year. Seems to be a known issue that they’re just not interested in resolving.

We purchased this griddle primarily for outside use but we also used it inside when it was too hot. The grill is very versatile. I love the cook top with the no stick surface. Very little oil required. It’s easy to clean, just wipe the surface down with water and maybe a little mild soap. Easy to assemble. Very satisfied.
