The front the unit is melting. I can smell burning plastic when I turn it on. Please see attached photos. The metal panel is touching the plastic. I’m assuming there is supposed to be a gap here like on the sides and back. However, the front panel touches and is now melting.

Electric griddle

We camp and have a blackstone tailgater, we needed a smaller griddle and saw this one. We know that blackstone makes a great product so we purchased the smaller griddle, haven’t used it yet however, if it’s a blackstone you can’t go wrong.

Unboxing & assembly was very simple. This griddle seems very well made and is as sleek & stylish as you can get for a blackstone imo. I'll be trying it out for dinner tonight!

Very fine product in terms of tech and sleek. However it doesn’t get as hot as I would like. For some reason it has a hard time keeping up with most foods, even pancakes at 500f. I would have bought the propane burner if I could do it again
