Doesn't appear to properly heat up. When preheating, say to 375, the bar graph doesn't show that it finished. I've tested with a infrared thermometer and some parts are 360 and others are cooler.

I don’t know. I just opened it. It was easy to put together. I haven’t cooked on it yet but to register it I had to fill this out. 4 stars for ease of putting it together. Took 2 minutes.

The good: If you want to make grilled cheese, pancakes, grill some new england hot dog rolls, or cook an enormous amount of bacon, this is your indoor grill. The grease trap is really what makes it nice, and I cook lots more bacon now because of it.
The bad: Do not expect to cook however many burgers this site advertises for this model, unless you like steamed meat. That is, the heating elements in this thing cannot recover if you put more than two or three patties on at once. The searing stops, and the meat boils and you know...grey boiled meat.
It's fine for me, because I live alone, and it honestly makes a great smashburger. The grease trap is great. I can make four patties, each 3 ounces, but that's with some temperature finesse, and not putting it all on at once. This thing is not for burger parties. Grilled cheese parties? Definitely. I wish the griddle surface had more weight to it, or was induction heated. This thing would be awesome. I generally let it heat up to 500 on both sides for a while, and then stage the meat I put on it, and it's okay. If you mess up, just push all the meat to the edge and let it get hot again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
