Domed Griddle Top and Nonstick surface Ware

Received the grill as a gift in December 2023. Works as expected the issues are the cook surface is domed even when heated up to temperature and the surface is losing its nonstick finish in the domed area. I have never used any other utensils besides the ones provided and clean with water and paper towel. These I feel are major issues. One minor issue is that the e-series logo is installed upside down. The cook temp dose drop but that is to be expected when adding something cold to a hot surface. I love cooking on the griddle but due to the domed surface some things are near imposable to cook without it spreading all over the cook surface like eggs pancakes and such.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our E-series griddles are fabricated with a dome in the center to protect the integrity of the metal. As the unit heats up, the griddle top should flatten out to be more manageable. It won't get completely flat, however, it should flatten out enough where cooking liquids aren't an issue. Tried it out the first time and after 15 minutes of warming up we put pancakes on it. We had it set at 350. I figured this would be plenty warm for a quick pancake but the pancakes never got to temp. It was a flop. I didn’t understand the grey bars and orange bars on the front- they went up and down. I tried finding info on the internet but couldn’t find any. This was supposed to make breakfast in a big home easier and it definitely didn’t do that. Also there is an opening in the back for oil to drip out of but it looks like mine missed a finishing step and there is a burr across the opening acting like a dam and pooling the oil. Pretty unhappy

Great Concept but Poor Execution.

Bought this about 6 weeks ago and truly debated on getting the electric vs gas but thought I really liked the idea of cooking inside the house. Now after cooking on it almost daily for the last 6 weeks here are my Pros and Cons:
Cons:
Looses heat extremely quickly and takes a very long time to recover once you put food on it
The non-stick surface is for plastic utensils only and scratches easily
The non-stick surface actually bubbles or Warps - Causes cooking issues- happen on 2 cook
The lid is great but holds moisture and then pours out the sides and gets everywhere especially out of the back past the grease trap/ tray
Major hotspots and heat is not distributed very evenly.
Cons:

Note- I love the concept and use it all the time... I will be getting a gas one for outside and getting rid of this one.

Excellent, just like my outside 28 propane. Now when the weather is lousy, I can griddle indoors. Easy to use, cleanup is easy. Love the non stick service and the size of the griddle.

I had really high hopes for this griddle because cook a lot both at home and while camping. Unfortunately it has been the most frustrating kitchen appliance I’ve owned and I’ve finally given up. Such as shame as I have loved my previous Blackstone products.
Problems include:
Uneven heating, constantly throwing breakers no matter where it’s plugged in (home kitchen, camper, campground, literally every place I’ve ever plugged it in.), immediately loses temperature when food is added then won’t get back up to temperature again.
