This is a great griddle for inside or outside use. No seasoning or anything, food doesn't stick. Cooks evenly! Great for T Bones when cooking inside ❤️

The fit and finish on this grill is great, but it has one major flaw. It will not hold temp - not even close. I set it to max temp (500 degrees F) and it will reach that without any food on the griddle, but as soon as food is put on the griddle surface the temp drops drastically (between 250-350 depending on where you gauge the temp on the griddle surface) and it will not rebound. It hovers around that temp throughout the cook. I am highly disappointed. Every other Blackstone grill I have is above average and does a great job - this one, however, is a miss.

Ceramic Coating wears after a few months

I bought my 17" on April 19, 2021 and the ceramic coating is already wearing off. I spoke with several others users in the Blackstone group with the exact same issue. They work ok but for 10 months of use before everything starts sticking it isn't worth it to me

Wish I could go 5 stars, I really wanted to love this electric griddle. The non stick surface is great, the overall light weight of the unit is nice. The griddle temp needs some tweaking, even after pre heat and food added, it looses a lot of heat and typically doesn’t recover before the food is eventually cooked. I’ve pre heated in highest setting, added bacon and you looses 50% of your heat immediately and it never recovers as your bacon “steams”. I think breakfast is about all it can handle unfortunately.

It is a nice style but substance is a little off. When cooking anything solid like hamburgers, chicken or steak it loses it heat strength immediately upon putting items on griddle. Example I put it on high heat once it obtains it i put food on and it cools down too much to put a sear on any type of meat. I would say this is good for cooking breakfast type stuff eggs, french toast, fried rice etc. But a big let down when cooking anything with more substance.
