Awesome Watch

I had a Garmin before and wasn’t sure about going back from a Fitbit but this watch has incredible can’t say enough good things about it. It tracks really well and holds a charge for days which is why I was hesitant the last Garmin I had to charge about every day. I love the running screens and training programs. I also love how I can have all of my activities sync with Strava. I would highly recommend this watch!!!

Small size for small people

The 255s is a good size for small people. It has all the features of the other
Forerunner 255. None of the run data sets came with heart rate on the face. A separate data set had to be added from the Connect IQ store. The face does not have AMOLED display. I miss the touch face, but I'll get used to the buttons. It is a good watch for the $$.

Great Metrics

I had an older Forerunner for several years, so seeing the newer/ extra metrics with the 255s is fantastic! It definitely seems very accurate when it comes to elevations and GPS as well, which is comforting. Long battery life, great display - overall a fantastic watch!

Great for my needs!

After wearing for 3 weeks now, I have been very pleased with my new forerunner 255s. It has all the data, features, battery life I was looking for. It’s lightweight, easy to figure out how to use & gives a lot of interesting data. Battery lasts a week for me with multiple runs/training activities daily. I upgraded from a vivoactive3.

Love this watch

I returned to running last Winter and in the middle of half marathon training, decided to upgrade to the 255s from my old Forerunner 15. All the additional features are a real treat, and it really helps integrate running (or walking, cycling, etc.) into your daily life. I also used it to replace my Fitbit. I was unsure of using the 255s as my all the time watch, but it's so fun to see the stats that I immediately was sold. I'm a 5'2" female and the size is perfect. My only complaint is the color. I got the pink one, which looks like a rose color in the photos, but it's actually bubblegum pink. I know it's a little thing, but I think I would have got a neutral had I known the accurate color. There are alternate bands you can purchase (including a rose colored one), but it's hard to compliment the bubblegum watch face frame.

Did not like toggling with buttons

I have been wearing a FitBit Versa 2 but felt like if I wanted to elevate myself to a serious runner I needed to get a Garmin. The forerunner 255s felt comfortable to wear but I really didn't investigate all the features before I returned it. Why? I couldn't get used to using the multiple buttons to get to the feature I wanted. In addition to running, I used my old watch to set alarms, timer, check weather, track sleep etc. All these features are available on Forerunner but to get to where I want to go I have to figure out what series of buttons to press. I guess I'm just used to the convenience of a touch screen. I'm back to wearing my FitBit with the cracked screen but I'm looking into a Garmin Venu as a future purchase.

Excellent all around!

I'm no longer a runner, but I find it hard to break away from the Forerunner line. It has every feature I need - the ability to track strength, rowing, hiking, and any other activity I enjoy, as well as super detailed health tracking. Editing the appearance and various features is intuitive and easy to use. Infinitely useful, I even have a timer set up for brewing my tea. Battery life is great so far. The S version is the perfect size for my smaller wrist, and I don't find myself bumping the buttons as much as I did with my previous 245.
