The battery life on this watch is impressive! I love the fact that I can download courses to this watch and have it nagivate for me. The morning report is fun and informational. The pink color is awesome too!

Motivating and fun!

I’ve had the Forerunner 225s for 3 weeks and I love it! Heart rate, stress, sleep score, body battery and Garmin coach are some of my favorite features. I got this watch to motivate me to start running again and I’m back to running 5K‘s in the mornings. Garmin coach helped me keep my pace and plan what days are good for runs. Sometimes I take pics while I’m out and can post with my stats on social media. I also use it for strength training to keep track of my sets reps and weight. I like that it has GPS so I don’t have to have my phone on me when I go hiking or running. It has notifications to see your calls and text messages but I turn them off because I don’t like being bothered.( I’m not an Apple Watch gal) The watch face and the app are very customizable to see the features that are important to you. It also connects to my other health apps on my phone like my fitness pal so I can keep track of my calories and macros and syncs to the Garman app. The battery life last five or six days and it’s a durable and stylish watch. My wrist is super tiny so this was the perfect size. Looking forward to training for marathons using my Garmin forerunner 255S.

Worth every penny

I originally bought the Forerunner 55. It was a great watch, but it was missing features that I truly wanted in a running watch. I’ve decided to go with the Forerunner 255S, and it doesn’t disappoint. I appreciate all the data it gives me such as Body Battery and recovery time. Huge bonus! Sleep Quality is a huge plus to. Overrall I’m glad I spent a little more and extremely happy I made the switch.

Cool features, GPS good, new color bands a no go

I bought this a few weeks ago as a replacement for a Forerunner 35 that I used for at least 5 years. It is quite an upgrade. I'm still learning my way around it, but here are some of the features that I like so far: GPS seems quite accurate, Garmin pay is handy, morning report is nice, you can choose from a bunch of customizable watch faces, I'm getting a little obsessed with my sleep score. I need to try some additional running features. Here's what I don't like: The color of the watch is integral to some of the face so you can't really change the color by buying a new band. If you do you end up with a two tone watch. That was hugely disappointing. Also, the pulse ox readings shouldn't be counted on. Mine were consistently low to the point that I got concerned and bought a pulse oximeter. My readings were fine on that. Don't trust the watch readings. I got the 255S which is the right size for my 5'4" frame woman's wrist. However, some of the readings are hard to see as I'm getting a little farsighted in my age. I wish it was just a tad larger. Garmin needs to add the Les Mills lineup of classes to the activity options you can select so we can get more accurate readings on those. Overall, I'm enjoying the watch, but for me I'm not sure it was worth the money.

Great features

I’ve had it for a week. I’m still learning how to use all the features. It’s a little big for me. Wish it were smaller. Tried the 225 but that one didn’t have the features I wanted and didn’t have touch screen. Considered the genie but that one’s heavier and much more expensive. I’ve had and loved the viviactive, but again not enough features and not enough battery life barely to last a marathon

We are happy that you are giving the device a try. The device should have enough battery capacity for a marathon and we would encourage you to reach out to our team so that we can get more details from you on what you are experiencing. Thank you for posting a review.

Small like I’ve wanted for years.

Always had a Garmin watch. I had the 910. Then the 735. Bought an Apple Watch bc I love apple and wanted something smaller. HATED IT bc the Battery couldn't last a day. Now Garmin has the 255s and I LOVE it. Battery lasts long as all Garmins do, it has the HRV so I can get rid of my Whoop, and it's smaller so it's everything I wanted. It has trouble reading my HR thru my tattoo (I have 2 full sleeves) sometimes, but so does every watch and whoop I’ve had. I connect my HR strap when I run or CrossFit and it pairs wonderfully. At night I flip the face around so it’s on the bottom of my wrist where there is less color on my tattoo and it reads all night so I’m able to get a HRV and sleep score without difficulty.
