Great size and fit for my little wrist. I like the simplicity of the tech. It does only what it needs to do. The push button is nice for when you have winter gloves on or trying to do something with it while riding your bike and not fully looking at it.
Coming off a fexix5 which was much heavier and bulky. This is so much lighter you don't notice wearing it. Using for multi sport it has all the great functionality expected in a Garmin sports watch.
Right out of the box, this watch was ready to roll. It's easy to use, my previous watch was 5+ years old, so many things have changed, but it was an intuitive interface. Track run and trail run setting are nice added features. The battery life is impressive - I had 25-30% left on the battery and it lasted 4 hr 30 min! I was shocked. Great watch!
I bought this to replace my Fenix 5s for an upcoming marathon and I'm so glad I did. It is so light compared to the Fenix 5s. I only use the watch for running, so the extra features of the Fenix line are kind of pointless for me. I mainly bought it because I'm a slow runner and I get worried every time I use the Fenix that the battery wouldn't last. The Forerunner still had more than half it's battery life when I finished the marathon! If you're looking to just get a watch to help with running, I'd highly suggest this one.
I've been a long time Garmin user, but it's been a few years since I purchased a new watch from them. I was delightfully surprised to find the watch fully charged and ready to record activities right out of the box. Connecting it to my phone/Strava was simple, and I love all the upgraded features (compared to my previous Forerunner model). I run, strength train, hike, and bike - all with ease and access to my health and activity stats in the flick of my wrist, literally.
I was just looking to replace my vivo watch that died and picked this one. It has a lot more features . I really like the hrv, sleep and health data tracking. I also like that I can broadcast the HR to my garmin computer, because I don't like wearing an HR chest strap.
I am a big fitness/wellness tracker fan and after trying multiple products on the market, I found the Garmin 255 to be the most functional. While I am not a runner specifically, I've found it useful for multiple activities.
