Incredible Watch With Outstanding Features

I have owned many Garmin watches and each new iteration pushes the bar on features, GPS accuracy, and battery life.
The Garmin 955 Solar watch's larger screen, glances, sleep score, and ability to configure more of the functions through the Connect App is super.
And as usual, the Garmin customer service staff continues to be outstanding.
One small negative, I was hoping to go 5 to 6 days between battery charges given my activity level (at least a 60 minute run and 60+ minute bike or swim every day), but it now looks more like 3 days. Three times better than my Vivoactive 3 with music but a little short of my expectations.
Overall a great watch and one I look forward to using for many years to come.

A near perfect watch.

This is a near perfect watch. Has so many training options, metrics, and the battery life is amazing. The only reason I don't give it a 5 because there is no option for the nylong band that comes with the Enduro 2.

Excellent Fitness Timepiece

Bought the Forerunner 955 Solar almost a month ago. Lives up to all the hype. Lightweight, accurate HR measurement, GPS accurate also. It's also attractive enough to wear at casual and dress functions. The Morning Report is an excellent software upgrade.

So far not good

I bought this item 3 weeks ago. It has the potential to be a nice watch but so far I’ve experience 3 disappointing features:
1. Battery life - this is clearly an issue the many struggle with as Garmin has specific advice on the support site for this. However even following the recommendations this product is disappointing. The battery life estimator is inaccurate (says 5 days left when the watch has hours left). They could do a lot better with providing the user feedback on how settings impact battery life and how solar is extending it. My guess is solar does very little and I grossly overpaid for that feature.
2. Weather updates just don’t work. It would be great to have this on the watch but I’ve only seen it update twice since I’ve owned it with no feedback as to why it fails to update.
3. Sleep features and all other features that require wearing a bulky watch when you sleep. I’d be interested to know what percentage of users actually wear their watches to bed. It seems like a great product extension for Garmin to have a sleep monitor that doesn’t have to be worn or is more comfortable for sleeping than a watch. Unfortunately wearing a watch negatively impacts the quality of my sleep so I don’t get the benefit of any of these features….and these are features that I really would like to be able to use. Not to mention that with the poor battery life performance I have to charge the watch at night.

Love the light weight, feature packed watch. Great battery life and solar power as well. Wasn't ready to spend the money for a Fenix, so this is the next best IMO

I’m still learning all of the features, but I love it so far. I won’t ding this review a star, but I really wish there was a more comprehensive manual designed for novices. Explicit instructions like “if you want to do this, do that.” Google and YouTube help, but it all should be available with the watch itself.
