Heart rate pulse different

I have two other Garmin watches and they give me a higher reading and more accurate heart rate reading. It seems the 955 lags a lot and is consistently lower when running up hills.

Great watch but became glitchy

Have loved this watch but became glitchy after glitchy after about a year and a half, not tracking distance correctly and getting totally confused with the elevation - disappointing given how expensive a purchase it is!

Have not used my Apple Watch since this purchase.

I purchased this watch looking for a much longer battery life than my Apple Watch. I went on a 75 mile ruck and after my Apple Watch only lasted four hours I was looking for something different. This has significantly more features that focuses on athletics and the battery life is incredible.

One of my favorites, until it wasn’t

I bought this a little over a year ago. Wanted something accurate to track my activities and with a long battery life for ultras. This watch was amazing until a few months ago when I started getting alerts to update it every 4-5 hours every day. The heart rate monitor stopped working. Battery life tanked, maybe lasted two days at a time. Activity tracking progressively got worse. Pace, route, cadence, were hit or miss and very inconsistent. Nothing I did was able to fix these issues so I had to ditch the watch and get something different.

Don’t let YouTube videos scare you away!

I was a bit hesitant about buying this watch mainly about its software features it lacked, as pointed out in several YouTube videos. But to my happy surprise it had those features such as haptic feedback, weather radar, palm the watch to sleep, and more. Besides that this watch is a game changer when it comes to training and tracking activities. Although the default data screens are not very helpful, with a few minutes of adjusting you can make it anything you would want. The amount of data you can cram into one single activity screen is insane and all I would ever need. The customization of every bit of this watch is well appreciated very helpful, even for tiny things like getting a notification when disconnected from your phone. I have many good things to say about the watch, but one thing I dislike is how little the solar ring helps the watch. I understand that having a watch this power hungry makes it hard to really make use of the solar ring, but I do wish it was more efficient. That being said, under the right conditions it can be a game changer. I was on a 3 day canoe trip and didn’t even think about bringing a charger. Thankfully with the sun being out all day, my watch only lost about 12 percent battery in that one day, gaining about 200+ lux hours of solar.
