Excellent watch. It is able to do so many things, whether it's tracking workouts, health metrics, or just steps. It also has a great battery life!

If you like to train and like data this is an outstanding watch. The music feature is very nice. Not sold on the value of the solar though. Didnt really last any better in the Caribbean then a 945

The new Forerunner 955 Solar packs all of the punch you expect from a high-end Garmin product. Biometrics work well and give great feedback on stress and body battery scores, and the cross country ski modes have been reliably good. Wrist heart rate is better than expected. Solar is a bonus, and while I've mostly used this in the wintertime so far, it's nice to know that the extra battery life will be there when I need it.
