Literally never dies. When I need a quick charge I just do it while I get ready in the morning and it charges at least 50% in like 25-30 minutes!

Garmin is King

I have worn a Garmin Forerunner 235 for as long as they've been available. I lived in that watch through high school sports and the start of college until it has finally started to show signs of wanting to be retired. I've taken it climbing, running, swimming, biking, sailing, backpacking etc and was never disappointed by that watch. I've now worn my Forerunner 955 solar for almost a year and so far it's as good as it's predecessor. I really like the updated mapping features and the comfort of solar for extended outings in the backcountry.

User Interface is very easy, overall quality of the product is very good. Works great for recording runs and the occasional times when My cycling head unit gets left at home. Battery life is exceptional. Seems like this product is more geared for serious runners.

I had a Forerunner 945 that lasted me for 3 years before calling it quits. I replaced it with the 955 Solar. The watch itself seems almost identical as far as functionality and use. The biggest difference I have seen so far is battery life. The 955 gets more than double the battery life of the 945. Definitely a watch to consider for multisport usage.

A great gps watch for anyone who does everything

This watch is amazing for tracking ski touring, climbing, hiking, and pretty much anything you can think of other than running. The customized displays for each activity are great and provide the exact context I'm always looking for when I'm doing that activity. For example, I love seeing the vertical feet per minute readout on ski tours. It's awesome to get feedback on everything outside of my workouts too like sleep and recovery, and as a data nerd, I love having estimates of VO2max, cadence, etc. All around an awesome watch. I just plug it in to charge in the shower, and the solar recharging takes care of the rest so that I barely ever miss a step. Highly recommend for other data nerds who love all kinds of activities.

Great Smartwatch

I was hesitant about getting a smartwatch for a long time. When I decided to get one I did quite a bit of research. I picked this model for it's functions, weight, and battery life. The battery is impressive, it lasted a full 20 days while fishing in Alaska. It is also great at tracking activities such as hikes and bike rides. The sleep monitor and step counter are also functions that caused me to make small adjustments to my lifestyle based on the data I was receiving. It is also just a nice looking watch that keeps very accurate time.

Solar not the highlight. I use for running and riding, but both activities don't typically get direct solar due to arm position. Solar makes sense for a cycling computer, probably not worth the extra money on a watch like this. Otherwise works great, happy with connectivity and functionality.
