I have had this watch for several months, and it has become essential. It tracks every activity you could imagine and gives an in-depth view of everything going on with your body! I couldn't recommend it more to anyone just looking for an all-around excellent fitness watch.

A great upgrade from 245 Music

I went through two 245 Music watches before I upgraded to the 955 solar. What a huge improvement! Mileage tracking is excellent. My mileage was always a little short on my previous watch. The maps are great. If you spend a lot of time in the woods (like I do) a good map will keep you from getting lost. Not sure how much I'm going to get out of the solar in gloomy upstate NY. The battery life has been fantastic so far. I love that you can track naps and women's health stats. My only complaint is that the watch band is stiff compared to other models.

Perfect Smart Watch for Everyday Use

I upgraded to this watch from a Polar Vantage M and it was a massive upgrade. Love that the watch faces are customizable. There is a ton of data that this watch gives you, probably too much for my use, but it's nice to have nonetheless. I have yet to see the Solar function actually make a difference on battery life and if I were to go back and make this purchase again, I'd just go with the non-solar version. As for the MIP screen, I think it is perfect and works great in brightly lit areas. No need for the more expensive, battery killing OLED, as this is more than sufficient enough.

Superb uprade

I upgraded from the Instinct Solar to the 955 Solar and I love it. It captures a lot more stats than the Instint. GPS triangulation is much faster. My Instinct was just getting old so I am happy with this watch.

Great watch for all-around fitness training

Upgraded from the Vivoactive 3 to get more detailed stats for triathlon training. Definitely gives you that and more. I've been using it in the PNW so the solar charging feature hasn't been utilized much d/t overcast skies. Great battery life, larger and more "tactical-looking' than the Vivoactive series.

Great watch needs tutorial

Watch has sooooo many features that it will take some time before I can even figure out which ones I want handy. There are a few good YouTube videos that go through most features which is helpful, just wish Garmin had their own. Just now pairing it up with my edge 830 cycling computer. Looking forward to see how they work together. The 955 is definitely geared towards expert athletes.
