Big improvement from Quatix5, but not perfect

Upgraded to the 7 from the 5 and am happy i did. Battery life is much better and there are more apps and health/training monitoring functions. I wish there was a capability to analyze speed and angle over the track of a race the way the biking app shows different speeds on the track. Getting out of the header/lift mode is also not very intuitive. Finally the connection to weather data mostly does not work.

Bought 2 months ago and still can’t figure it out. I use tablets. With various apps , backcountry, Avenza, OnX, etc. need to import tracks from gpx an be able to follow and backtrack which I can’t get to do. Need help

I love the watch BUT...

It's a fenix with extra features and a great watch. My BIG criticism is charts, NO WHERE does Garmin tell you that you can't fit charts on any model but the 51mm X sized model. If I had known that I would not have bought my quatix 7, I would have stayed with my fenix.

Got this for my 8 year old bc he’s obsessed with being outside and moving. He’s always wanting to know how many steps he took. He loves using it. We use the timers all the time to help him learn some time management and we love the chore feature for him to keep up on his things around the house and to earn some extra rewards. We do wish it had a touchscreen and was a little easier to navigate. One button for everything is tough for a little to get used too. Also wish it had better back lighting. It’s tough to see when it’s day light and to get the back light to activate. Also wish it would auto sync to his device instead of him having to go into the app and click the Bluetooth button on his watch. Otherwise he’s very happy with being able to track his steps and activities!

Cute exterior but you can’t see the watch face, and you can’t charge the battery which doesn’t last long. Then you have to toss the whole thing.

Love this watch!!

I bought this watch about a month ago and I am glad I did. It does have a bit of a learning curve, but that is because it can do so much. I am still learning about new features it has. I do wish that I did not have to buy the maps, which are quite expensive, separately. To be fair though, if you have already purchased them for your other Garmin products, it is my understanding they will travel. I would recommend the watch highly. I am looking forward to being able to use the marine components, like tide, when I get to the coast.
