Terrible Design

I had a 2nd gen iPad Pro and the symmetry case for that was great. Not sure who on the design team signed off on the sliding pencil holder for the 3rd gen. I have lost my pencil twice now. The slider just falls apart with the slightest pressure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not an improvement over the previous design

Have you ever upgraded your iPad at work and then wished you had just kept your old one. My new iPad was issued with the new OtterBox Symmetry 360 Elite case. The magnets in the cover are very weak and the iPad falls often when touching the screen when standing upright. The pencil tray is exposed on the edge and can get caught when putting the iPad into a backpack or sleeve. Yes the pencil tray can be re installed, but count your self lucky if you realize it in time to not loose your pencil. I wrote this review after reading the previous replies from Otter Box, the best thing the company could do in this case is recall the product and issue re designed cases. The new model is quite a step back in design. If I had personally paid for it, it would have returned it already.

Purchased the Otterbox for my new iPad Pro and it’s not nearly as good as earlier versions. The case is not constructed well, the tablet frequently falls when open in the landscape config., the magnets on the cover aren’t strong enough to keep the flap open and the pencil holder is useless. Not quite what I expected for the price. I had two earlier versions of the Otterbox (with the flap) for my older iPad Pro they were great.

Looks good and fits well but the pencil tray pull-out fell apart on day two and can’t be securely reattached.

This is my second otterbox. This one does not protect my iPad as as the first. When I removed the case after 3 years, my iPad looked like new. This one protects somewhat but not to the degree of the first so I am a bit disappointed.
