Won’t Stand Up

The magnets are weak and the stand up feature is poorly designed. My iPad falls over VERY easily. Not worth the overly high price!

Poor design.

Horrible design. Pen holder popped off the case and now it doesn’t go back on the case. So now it’s useless. Only had the case 1 month with light use. Not Otterbox quality.

Weak magnets and flimsy design for the price point

This is my second attempt ever purchasing an otterbox product after using speck for my iPhones for years and boy was I disappointed What are you up to today? Are you free later for me to call? all over again. It’s a bummer because this brand has a good reputation except I haven’t experienced that in the products I’ve tried.
This case specifically yes wraps around every edge of the device and I like the idea of a clear back to show off stickers, but the material is cheap and scratch prone. My main complaint is the magnets in the folding stand are terrible, absolutely terrible. I couldn’t forgive it honestly. Any amount of force to the upper half of the screen when folded upright causes the setup to fall over like a house of cards. It’s super annoying especially when attempting to draw with your pencil.
The first otterbox product I tried was the blue symmetry case for my new iPhone 12 Pro. I was stoked on the design and trusted otterbox’s reputation but after not even a month of not heavy use, the case stretched and didn’t stay snug on the phone. Mind you this was during Covid lockdown when I never left the house or out my phone in pockets really to even wear down this case. I figured it was a new design for otterbox and learned my lesson. Apparently I didn’t learn enough cause once again a product with “symmetry” in the name burned me once again. I imagine or hope defender products might be a better experience, but otterbox seems to be unable to make slick or cool looking design be functional.
Avoid this product especially at its price point.
Do better otterbox

Extremely tough to open

I really wish that I would have read the reviews before buying, not sure why I didn’t. I guess I’m still within return policy but I ordered it online, and for some reason it gives me anxiety to return it, so I’ll keep it. It lays so flat that you have to try to peel it off the screen, once the case is open it’s great. Stands well, protects well.

Terrible design

I recently purchased a new iPad Pro. I had an otter box symmetry on my previous IPad Pro, I tried to use it but the camera is a different shape and would not fit.
I purchased This new symmetry since I loved my old case. This has a flimsy plastic pencil holder that dislodged from the back of the case within a week. Also, the screen cover is impossible to lift
Do not waste your money. The old case was 100% better. These improvements that were made are poorly designed

Expected better from Otterbox

It’s very difficult to open the front, so I’m getting used to leaving it folded back, unless I go out. The plastic also feels a bit cheap.
On the plus side, the more upright of its two positions is really nice, just right.
There aren’t many options yet for the 11” 3rd gen, but I’ll be keeping my eyes open for a more satisfactory folio case.
I would recommend this to a friend!
