Unnecessary Changes

I got this product because I was looking for a lightweight case for handheld use that had edge protection. I had this case for the iPad Air 4th Gen and loved it—The stand was sturdy, the pencil flap was easy to use and held the cover in place when folded over, and the case looked good.
The updates on the symmetry elite are a disaster. The magnets are weak making the the stand the weakest of any case I’ve ever used. The pencil tray is annoying and unnecessary. The old Symmetry 360 was the perfect case for IPad, one I would’ve been happy to use for every future iPad. Unfortunately, I now have to look elsewhere.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The cover does not hold

The cover does not hold the iPad upright or at a 15 degree angle either. Very frustrating. I always buy Otterbox and have had terrific success with their other products. This one is disappointing.

Disappointed

As a longtime OtterB.user I used various cases To
As a longtime O.B. User to proect and transport my various devises. In Dec.22 I purchased a new iPad Pro 11’. I purchased the Symmetry series for my new iPad. The case seemed to fit well. I didn’t research the case as I assumed it would have the same OB quality I come to expect. After 4 weeks the pencil flap fell off and could not be reattached.
The flaps will not support the pad in anyway useful. What are my opinions at this point?
I’m anxious to see how OB handles this problem. Thank you for your consideration

I like the clear back cover - it's very sturdy and I like seeing the color of my iPad. I also like the drawer for the Apple pen. I wish the front cover had a latch that connects to the back cover when closed (I had a Speck cover on my previous iPad and it had this feature). The cover is difficult to open.

Weak magnet

The cover will not stay attached to the backside. The magnet is very weak compared to the previous version of the Symmetry 360 cover. Not happy with this purchase. I was expecting this cover to be a better version that the previous. It’s not, shame. First time I’ve ever had a problem with OtterBox products.

Poor Construction

The overall aesthetic is nice, but it certainly is not as durable as anticipated. I used this case for a few months but the compartment for pen came of track.
Without the pen holder this case loses the functionality component that sets it apart from others. If you’re looking for a sleek case with a pen holder, I do not recommend this case because the construction of the pen compartment is lacking.

Poor quality

I have purchased two of these and both pencil drawers broke. The first broke after a couple of month and the second broke after a few weeks. We have purchased many OtterBox iPhone cases and have been happy with them but the quality on this iPad case is not up to par. I would not recommend.
