Great case and fits power button

I don’t know why it didn’t fit the power button for the first review but mine and a couple other’s did fit! It’s a great case and fits the iPad well. I wish the Apple Pencil had a flap hold instead of a slide out hold since it’s a bit hard getting the Apple Pencil in and out of storage.

I’ve been purchasing and using Otterbox covers for all my iPads for over 5-years. They look nice, fit perfectly, and are durable. HOWEVER, I’ve been somewhat disappointed/unhappy in my recent purchase of the Otterbox Symmetry cover for my iPad Pro 12.9 (gen 5). While it is a great cover, there is a design flaw for holding the “pencil”. Unlike the 11” Otterbox cover, which has a flap to secure and protect the pencil to the iPad, the the 12.9” Otterbox cover uses a pull-out tray. This tray is susceptible to breaking, does not fully protect the pencil, and makes it difficult too insert and remove the pencil. I gave a 3-star rating and I would not recommend this product because of the pencil issue; however, if you do not have/use a pencil, Otterbox covers are the best.

I wanted to love this as I have been an otterbox fan for YEARS, but this one missed the mark. The Apple Pencil holder broke off the first week. After about two weeks the case would not stay in place to hold the iPad upright. Very disappointing for an otterbox.

What I’ve come to expect from otter box. Solid case and easy to use. If I had any slight issue it’d be with the pencil holder. It’s not super sturdy but that might be a good thing. Our kids have already popped it off but it was easy to put back on and still works.

So I've had my Otterbox for a little over a month now and to be honest its not completely what I expected. Not a bad purchase just not the best. Hopefully my short video review can help you better understand why.

Fits like a glove and super easy to use. The one piece design is solid and works well, especially the pencil holder. I was happy to see a bit of snap back tension in the slide to hold the pencil in place. Otherwise the buttons and bezels match up perfectly, and should protect it well. Id definitely buy it agin.

Great case!

Just got my new iPad in the mail yesterday and was so excited to put it in the case that had arrived a few days earlier. It went in smooth, fits great and looks sharp!
Biggest letdown was that I really thought that the "discreet" pencil storage was going to be just that. Unfortunately, when the pencil is in the case, it sticks out from the side of the case and is not flush. Sure I wanted to protect my investment but I also was really looking forward to having a true storage compartment for my pencil. I definitely feel like the description was misleading in that sense. With the pencil in place, I have no confidence to put the iPad into my backpack without the fear of breaking my pencil or the sliding compartment ... That being said, it's still a great case and it gives me confidence that I won't break my iPad (considering I almost dropped it twice already because it's so dang big).
